About Keweenaw County Criminal History

Keweenaw County criminal-record information is divided among the Sheriff's Office, the 97th District Court, the 12th Circuit Court, Michigan State Police, the Michigan Department of Corrections, and the Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry. This privately operated guide is designed to help readers identify the appropriate official source, whether that means a portal, an Eagle River records counter, or a telephone request.

Why We Built This Site

Michigan uses several complementary systems rather than one complete Keweenaw County lookup. The Sheriff's Office maintains incident, arrest, booking, warrant, and short-term custody information; the District and Circuit Courts maintain case activity and outcomes; and Michigan State Police operates the statewide criminal-history repository and ICHAT public search. MDOC's OTIS and the Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry answer narrower custody, supervision, and registration questions. This site organizes the verified contacts, fees, limits, and request paths for those separate sources.

What You Will Find Here

  • Agency contacts: where to reach the Keweenaw County Sheriff's Office, the courts in Eagle River, and Michigan's statewide record systems
  • Official check walkthroughs: how ICHAT name searches and fingerprint-based personal record reviews work through Michigan State Police
  • Record guides: how to find and interpret Keweenaw County court case records
  • Record cleanup help: an overview of Michigan conviction set-asides, including court and state processing routes

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site, not part of a Michigan court, the Keweenaw County Sheriff's Office, or any state or local agency. Its role has clear limits:

  • We cannot issue certified court documents, criminal-history records, or other official copies
  • We cannot offer legal advice or interpret a particular charge, warrant, or case
  • We cannot submit a set-aside application, FOIA request, or other filing for a visitor
  • We cannot perform an official background check or retrieve another person's record
  • We cannot promise that an office's address, fee, telephone number, or procedure has not changed

An official copy must come from the office that maintains it, such as the Keweenaw County Sheriff's Office, the appropriate court clerk, or Michigan State Police. This site provides routing information, not government records.

Search Partners

Third-party companies operate search boxes that appear on some pages. They control their services, results, pricing, and data practices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that supports this free site, but we do not determine the partner's charges or the contents of its results.
